This trip is designed to be a progressive Girl Scout Global Travel Opportunity open to girls of all program levels, leaders, and family members. Visit and learn about the Mackinac Island Governor's Honor Guard Troops. Includes: Overnight accommodations at the Murray Hotel on Main St on Mackinac Island (occupancy will follow GSUSA Volunteer Essentials requirements and likely be 3-4 people per room) Daily breakfast buffet at the Murray Hotel Luncheon at the Grand Hotel Buffet Star Line Ferry Transfers from Mackinaw City Luggage Transfers Murray Hotel has a rooftop hot tub and sun deck Island Carriage Tour Fort & Historic Building Tickets (self-guided) Butterfly House Join the morning Girl Scout Horseshoe and watch the flag-raising on the Island Scout Barracks Tour by girls from our council Optional Murray Hotel Girl Scout Patch Free parking options available directly from the Star Line Ferry Company at the dock Governor's Summer Residence is open Wednesday morning only. GS Trip Insurance Approximately 75 spaces are available Costs: $345.00 per adult $290.00 per girl/sibling (4 and over) $100.00 Deposit per person due upon Registration Final Payment due May 1, 2023 Payments may be made by credit card (using our cookie square reader) by calling Rosemary at 248-656-91. Credit card fees are $4 per $100 charged and must be assumed by the participant. Payments may be made by check made payable to GSSEM and mailed to Rosemary Nachtman, 1086 E. Fairview Ct., Rochester Hills, MI 48306 Payments for GSSEM Juliettes through the council register and call Rosemary at 248-656-9751. Transportation: Everyone is responsible for their own transportation to the Star Line Ferry Dock in Mackinaw City; parking choices range from free secured self-park to valet. Registration opens on January 15, 2023. Detailed travel information and ferry details will be sent upon confirmation. Price increases from 2022 reflect 2023 rate increases and new seasonal rates for July and August. This event is coordinated by GSSEM Alumna.
