Description

Homelessness is a crisis on the rise here in Fairfield County – and in the winter season the stakes are higher- as the temperature drops, and people experiencing homelessness require warm areas for shelter. To help alleviate the challenges of staying warm for those experiencing homelessness, Bridgeport Rescue Mission is opening a warming center to the community on January 3, 2023, from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM at 725 Park Ave., Bridgeport. This Warming Center will serve as a place of refuge from the cold for many men, women, and children in need. We will not only provide a warm place, but we will also offer food and hot beverages to our guests at no cost. Opening our Warming Center is a great task and we need the assistance of volunteers to help us keep hurting men, women, and children warm this winter. Your support will make a difference in the lives of many families in need of a place to be protected from the harshness of freezing temperatures. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up today! Your support is greatly appreciated.
