Goodwife Prudence is visiting from the 18th century to tell us all about tea in Ireland, Great Britain and the Colonies. From the ancient history in China to the eventual trade in India. Learn about the varieties of tea first drunk in Europe and how the custom evolved from a beverage of the rich to a common drink. Participate in a tea ceremony and learn how to read tea leaves in this fun and interactive experience! Donations cheerfully accepted to help the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Foundation and Center. Plan to stay longer and eat dinner in the pub!
