Join Brienne Miner, MD MHS, from the Section of Geriatrics at the Yale School of Medicine to learn about normal sleep patterns and common problems affecting sleep as we age. Dr. Miner is a geriatrician, sleep medicine physician and researcher who specializes in the care of sleep disorders among older adults. In this talk, Dr. Miner will discuss normal sleep patterns, common factors that may disturb sleep as we age, when to talk to a doctor about your sleep, and simple steps you can take to improve your sleep!
Professor Miner focuses her research on sleep and the aging and, in a time when many of us are getting far less sleep than we should (for reasons within and outside of our control!) her presentation promises to be particularly timely. Her research also focuses on insomnia and how the aging process impacts sleep.
