We are thrilled to once again host the Tri-owa Indoor Triathlon! This year the event will take place on Sunday, February 5th, at the University of Iowa Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. Tri-owa is a USAT-sanctioned event and will count as a USAT Nationals qualifying race for collegiate participants. The race has two categories: collegiate and age group. Collegiate participants will swim 500 yards, bike 8 miles on an indoor stationary bike, and finish the race with a 2 mile treadmill run. Age-group participants will swim, bike, and run for ten minutes each with the furthest distance being the winner. There is also an option for age-groupers to double-dare and complete the swim-bike-run sequence twice for the ultimate workout! Collegiate athletes: the Tri-owa Indoor Triathlon is a 2022 Collegiate Club Nationals qualifier and will count towards Midwest Collegiate Triathlon Conference standings. The top male and female athletes in each category will receive awards. For the collegiate and high school divisions, finishing order will be based on the total time to complete each leg. Age Group and Team rankings will be based on the total distance completed. Age group categories are as follows: 18 and under, 19-24, 24-35, 35-44, 45-54, 55+. The winner of the age group/double dare categories are determined based on the distance completed within the time limit. The nearest parking garage to the CRWC is the Dubuque Street Ramp.
