Founded as part of Rotary International by a group of local business leaders, the Las Vegas Rotary Club was one of the first service clubs established in Las Vegas. Since its inception, thousands of local Rotarians have combined efforts to improve the local community and advancing the lives of those in need and most vulnerable. As one of the only organizations that is supported solely through voluntary contributions from its members and partners, it has contributed millions of dollars in donations and service hours to the Las Vegas Valley and beyond. In 2022, the club’s foundation was named the Las Vegas Foundation of the Year in the annual Vegas Inc Angel Awards. The club utilizes its funds through annual service projects and various outreach efforts, including Santa Clothes, S.O.A.R. (Safety Officer Award Recognition), Opportunity Village, donation drives and more. Among last year’s outreach initiatives, the club supported 360 children with new clothing, donated almost $25,000 in books to local schools and provided more than 100,000 food items to Salvation Army.
