Description

The Christmas Bird Count has a long, rich history as an alternative to shooting birds. For the last 122 years, bird watchers have gathered during the Christmas season to count birds. Come join us for a lesson on bird identification then join a team with a leader to search the 30 wooded campers for birds. The teams will gather back in the cafeteria to share sightings, total species and receive prizes. For those interested in doing more bird watching, we will be continuing to birds at a local nature preserve.
