I need to find a new home my turtle, Walter. I hate to do this, but we’ve found out my dad has cancer so I’m moving to be closer to him and won’t be able to take him with me. It’s important to me that Walter goes to a good home. I’m ok with him going to a home for free without the full set up below, but only if you have a tank that’s 75 gallons or larger for him. I got Walter a few months ago from someone who wasn’t taking very good care of him (no heat lamps, too small of tank that was never full of water, no filter, etc.). He’s seen a vet and the vet said he’s a healthy ~10yr old RES. He has a slight case of dermatitis (a bit of shedding and rosy color on some parts of him) and is taking a Vitamin A supplement, but the vet said he’s not concerned and it should clear up with the supplement, frequent water changes and now that he's in a tank with a filter. All of his food (3 kinds), the Repashy Vitamin A+ supplement, and a bottle of water conditioner will go with him. Please note that I have Ramshorn snails in one of my other tanks that I regularly transfer to Walter’s for him to feed on, thus you're likely to find some in his tank / on the driftwood.
