NEW YEAR NEW YOU?? We are currently hiring staff to service Sarasota County Parks in Sarasota County, Various positions are available in the Osprey, Venice, Nokomis & Englewood areas. The position starts January 1st, 2023. We can train and go over the park sites and duties prior to this start date though. FULL-TIME & PART -TIME POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE Morning Shifts & Evening shifts are available, we are very flexible in creating the routes to fit your schedules You will need the following to apply - This job will be generally unsupervised day to day, so you will need to have the passion & pride to ensure that your job is done every single day in order to satisfy a county contract & the parks are clean & pleasant for our visitors, our supervisor and inspector will go by random parks each day to inspect the quality and service. You will need to be able to work by yourself. You will be cleaning & restocking public restrooms & removing trash from the parks. Having your own truck is ideal as you will be collecting and hauling the trash bags to the dumpsters (dumpsters are at most park locations but you will need to transport bags of trash for some sites) You will be given a route of county parks to service, these parks will be yours and it will be your job to ensure that the following items are checked and carried through every time your park requires a visit. The parks are cleaned, trash cans emptied and new liners replaced, and loose trash picked up. Playgrounds checked - racked and swept if needed Sidewalks are blown down Restroom cleaning and sanitization (all equipment and chemicals in order to carry out these tasks, and the following tasks will be provided) restock restroom supplies - hand soap, paper towels, toilet tissue(all provided by us) Sweep & mop restrooms Trash removal Loose trash policing and collection blowdown basketball courts/tennis courts etc with a blower that we provide We offer a weekly direct deposit. Compensation will be $12/HR plus a gas allowance for the route depending on the miles being driven.
