Matt Banwart is returning to Iowa to record a stand up comedy album. Matt's album recording will largely be about growing up in a small town in Iowa and his family. Matt originally started performing stand up comedy in Iowa in late 2016. Since then Matt has gone on to perform at colleges and comedy clubs across the country. He is a regular at comedy clubs all over Chicago and is the new host of Roast Battle. Recently Matt developed a following on TikTok for his stand-up clips and roasting all 50 states. Matt’s standup has been featured on Madison Comedy Week, Floodwater Comedy Festival, and the Redeye Comedy Festival. He is glad to be returning to Central Iowa for this very special recording. He was formerly a 3x Des Moines Improv Comedy Death Match Champion and was the president of Iowa State Universities Stand Up Comedy Club, which he had registered as a sorority, making him the first male sorority president in Iowa history.
