Filmmaker Seeking Documentary Subjects

Do you have a niche hobby or are you part of a community you think more people should learn about? I am a documentary filmmaker looking for my next project. I am hoping to highlight unknown or unpopular communities off the beaten path. For example, my last film was on the lost art of lacemaking- an antique crafting technique whose beauty is at risk of being lost to the fast-paced production of industrial infrastructure. Luckily, there are small community groups and associations located across the country that bring together small numbers of lacemakers that help keep the craft alive. I would love to be able to capture a similar sentiment for my next project and I am open to exploring any and all subjects.
