Researchers at Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women's Hospital are seeking volunteers between the ages of 18-70 for a paid study evaluating a medication to prevent heart disease. You may qualify for this study if: -you are between the ages of 18-70 -you are overweight -you have high blood pressure -you are willing to take an FDA approved blood pressure medication If you are currently being treated with one blood pressure medication, we may ask you to discontinue it for the duration of the study. You are not eligible for this study if you are taking more than one blood pressure medication, have a history of cardiovascular disease, have diabetes, and/or are pregnant/breastfeeding. The study may last up to one year and involves ten study visits at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Compensation of up to $2000 provided in addition to BWH parking and certain travel expenses.
