Looking for small dog

I am helping my parents look for a small fur baby! Does not have to be a puppy but does have to be good with kids. They are also not picky on a breed as long as it stays small! My dad is retired so he will be home all day! They lost their dog in June after 13 years of old age. We understand a small re homing fee for a good home. My parents have a big front and back yard and there new fur baby would be absolutely spoiled and loved! Located in the Kingsley area.
