Centered in the principles of Kwanzaa and the wisdom of the indigenous values and spirituality of other African and African diaspora cultures, this retreat focuses on strengthening interpersonal relationships between women and men in the context of nurturing families and building healthy communities. Our practices will include a suprasensory immersion in dance, ritual, meditation, movement, prayer, martial arts and spiritual baths with the aim of unleashing our brilliance, beauty and divinity even as we seek to negotiate a world tormented by racism, exploitation, domination and exclusion. Our goal is to empower journeyers who want to seek deep connections with their purpose to change their life trajectory---standing as a healing presence in the midst of a sometimes insane world.
