PUP START LESSON (start 13 - 20 weeks old) This one time training class will teach you how to best communicate with your puppy. We will give you information on all of your puppy-raising questions including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called. We will discuss and introduce you and your pup to the foundation of basic obedience training that is positive reinforcement based. This lesson is the best way to get you and your new pup off to a great start and to learn how to work with them at home, on your own time between scheduled classes! Basic skills covered include sit, down, come when called, name recognition, taking treats gently, sitting politely for petting, relinquishing objects and leash walking. Prevention of the typical puppy behaviors such as jumping, mouthing and chewing will also be addressed in this class.
