Come out to The Stew Pot for our Serve & Social on Saturday, December 17th from 10am-12pm, where you will help to assemble winter survival kits to help those in need stay warm this holiday season, while sipping on Herb’s House Coffee with other servant hearted locals! EVENT DETAILS Check in is at 10am at The First Presbyterian Church of Dallas across from The Stew Pot, then we will walk over together! The group will sort through materials and assemble the winter survival kits, while listening to your favorite holiday songs. Although it is not required, everyone is encouraged to bring supplies to help stay warm on a cold winter night, such as beanies, scarves, gloves, socks, hand warmers, and mini flashlights! After we finish the volunteering, we’ll begin the social aspect, where you’ll get to mingle with the other attendees with complimentary warm coffee from Herb’s House adorable Herbster coffee truck! THE STEW POT For the past 40 years, The Stew Pot has served homeless and at-risk individuals in the Dallas area, leaving a lasting impact on the community. They provide resources for basic survival needs and serve over 1000 meals a day, seven days a week. They also offer casework assistance and enrichment programs for children and their families, giving them a chance at a new life. Since The Stew Pot is near the Dallas Farmers Market, feel free to grab a bite to eat afterwards in the Market Food Hall and check out their festive Christmas displays!
