Learn about how the Laguna de Santa Rosa is an important stopover along the Pacific Flyway for thousands of migrating ducks and other water-loving birds during the winter. Learn cool facts, like the difference between “dabbling" and “diving” ducks, how far geese migrate, and how to tell the difference between male and female waterfowl. We will also talk about some of the challenges that these birds face, as well as conservation success stories.
There is no charge for this event, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.
