Christian baptism symbolizes death and resurrection buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead (Colossians 2:12). When you are baptized you make a public declaration, in front of witnesses, that you are starting a new life, that you are going in a new direction. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward decision to follow Jesus. FAQs What time should I arrive? Check-in time is 40 minutes prior to service the day of Water Baptism. Why so early? You will be directed to a classroom for a meeting. One of our Staff Pastors will be teaching you about Water Baptism and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. You will also receive a free t-shirt then you'll be escorted to a special seating area. Who ministers at Baptism? Pastor Scot will baptize you and share in your experience. What do I wear? For your baptism you should wear dark clothing. Ladies, we kindly ask that you do not wear white. Please bring a bath towel and a complete change of clothes. When do I get my Baptism Certificate? Certificates will be available the day you are baptized. If you did not get your certificate, or a name correction was needed, you may pick it up at the Information Counter the following weekend. We are also happy to mail it to you.
