Singer in search of band

I'm a soprano/ mezzo soprano. Years of voice training. And recently built the nerve to sing in front of people. I've been doing karaoke at the Weal Inn and someone suggested I join a band. I write a lot of my own music and it usually falls somewhere in the indie pop/rock/soul genre. Really this post is just to meet some people who would be open to me trying out for their band. I don't have any music online yet. But I do have a ton of recordings on my phone. I'd be happy to send them to interested parties. I'm a young lady so, I'm not going to jump at anything that requires I meet strangers unless it's in a public space. Thanks for giving this a read. And good luck to my fellow musicians. (:
