Stair Assemblers needed. Immediate Hires! $1000 SIGN ON BONUS Southern Staircase, an industry leading supplier of custom stairs and handrail systems. We currently have openings for Stair Assemblers with word-working skills to build stair systems. If you like working with wood and power tools and have some knowledge and assembly experience, this is an invitation to join a great team working for the best company in stair building! Job Duties and Responsibilities: Building each stair system within the allotted time frame and within compliance with Southern Staircase quality standards. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Requesting needed material from Warehouse Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ability to control cost and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Requires good woodworking skills Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math accurately Ability to operate power tools, table saw, band saw, chop & miter saw and any woodworking related tools Ability to work in a production type environment with some heavy lifting required Ability to build stair systems within company standards Maintain manufacturing quality, mechanical inspection tools, safety and quality focus
