Sow bags are small, reusable bags that are used to make germinating seeds easier during the cold winter - like a mini greenhouse! Sow-bags are easy to prepare, and can be a fun, quick activity to give back to the planet (and you can give them as gifts)! Learn more by visiting Cool Boulder's recent blog post on "How to Prepare Sow-Bags"!
The City of Boulder invites local partners and the larger community to celebrate Cool Boulder's first year and look forward to 2023 Cool Boulder activities. Come enjoy hot drinks and snacks, make 'sow bags' out of native seeds and soil to take home and plant in the spring, and find out what's in store for next year!
Due to space limitations, this is an invitation only event. The event is free, but you must register on Eventbrite and fill out the Junkyard Social Club's event waiver to attend.
Cool Boulder is a community-led campaign that brings the city, local organizations and people of Boulder together in partnership with nature to address the climate crisis. The campaign is focused on three action areas: regenerating absorbent landscapes, expanding tree canopies and creating connected networks of pollinator habitat. These natural climate solutions foster biodiversity and healthy soils, while absorbing carbon and cooling our city. Explore this work and opportunities to get involved at coolboulder.org.
