Experience seasonal nourishment, movement, and meditation as you immerse your senses in curated sound, aroma, sight, touch, and taste. Sumita Vasudeva, Founder of Omni Wellness, has curated this healing sensory immersion. In the past 25 years, as a Sivananda Yoga Acharya and Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, she has taught about how the ancient lifestyle science of Ayurveda reveals the knowledge of life during each season. This event is designed to showcase and share this wisdom. Healing Artists: Mathangi Sundararajan will exhibit Batik art depicting yoga poses. Mathangi learned Batik from the famous artist, Uma Bhattnagar. She has been teaching for over four decades and has published articles, as well as exhibited her work. Up until the pandemic, she conducted workshops, demonstrations, and classes at the Community School of Music and Art in Mountain View. She received her master’s degree in Art Administration in Turabo University, Puerto Rico. Arabhi Sundararajan will perform Hindustani classical music. She was trained by Pandit Kashinath Bodas in India. She has continued her advanced training under Shrimati Shubhangi Sakhalkar. Arabhi has given many solo performances. She teaches music enthusiasts in order to pass on her knowledge of classical music. She is equally passionate about Mathematics and is a faculty in the math department at De Anza. Kavita Thirumalai will perform Bharatanatyam dance. She has trained under several gurus. She continues to take workshops and master classes with Smt. Bragha Bessell. She has four solo thematic dance productions to her credit. She was recently nominated for the IZZIES award for her work, "Anandam". She co-curates an annual dance festival through IDIA whose vision is to bring highly talented artists to the bay area to perform, inform, and educate.
