Description

Does pairing an image with a short note and dashing it off to a friend sound familiar? In this workshop for educators of all ages, we will use NYPL’s historic postcard collection to demonstrate how communities advertised their local flair and communication changed over time. Those in attendance will also have an opportunity to closely examine historic postcards firsthand, preview forthcoming curricular resources from the Center for Educators & Schools, and learn how to create postcards in their own classrooms. Participants will receive 1.5 hours of CTLE credit. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information about the New York Public Library’s Center for Educators and Schools you can visit us at nypl.org/ces or subscribe to our monthly newsletter here!
