Description
In this fun and interactive workshop you will get hands-on skills for mending your clothes. This workshop combines hand embroidery and Sashiko inspired stitching to mend your clothes. This is an introductory class to hand sewing with visible mending techniques for all skill levels. You'll learn a darning technique for repairing knit garments (think sweaters and socks) and a patchwork repair for woven garments (think jeans or button downs). We will create a mending sampler for you to practice the repair techniques. Bringing an item of clothing is not required (and is actually preferred). Mending kits are included in the ticket price. If you want a specific fabric/darning color to mend with, bring your own.
