To activate multiple senses all at the same time with soothing and satisfying activities is a reset for the brain and for the soul. If you are like us and prepping for all of the holiday tasks but still want a chance to bask in the joy of the holidays...Then, this workshop will be perfect for you! It's an evening scheduled in your calendar to "Take time off" and sloooooow down while creating holiday floral arrangements! You deserve it! Your table will too! The DeetsThis will be a floral arrangement workshop, guided by Nic Roc, owner of You Belong Here. This is a low-pressure gathering. Nic will be giving rule-of-thumb tips on how to prep your florals and general guidance. The rest of it is up to you to decide how you decide to dream up your arrangement. I had to shut down both of my businesses which was very scary and overwhelming. I felt myself on the verge of a breakdown, full of anxiety of the unknown. Then the civil unrest happened, further impacting my mental and physical state. I pushed myself to focus on creativity. Being a lover of flowers, I thought how fun it would be to just play with flowers as a form of refuge; to feel them, see them, smell them. I began doing floral arrangements and floral art on a weekly basis. It became a practice of self-care and it was the only thing I felt I had full control over in my world. I would find flowers on walks to the park, through neighborhoods, in my backyard, and this hobby quickly turned into my saving grace. I want that for us all. As we make our way back into this "new" but ambiguous world-out of isolation, I am hoping we can find joyful ways to reconnect and celebrate humanity. "
