Rat pups available to good pet homes (no feeders). This litter was born 11/18 and should be weaned around 12/18. They will be ready to go to their new families around Christmas. I’m happy to send them home right before or hold them until after if you have holiday plans. My rats are absolutely GREAT pets! Mom and Dad are two of the most personable rats I’ve met and both are huge snugglers. I don’t breed often and this litter was planned so that I could keep some in my mischief. There have been no signs of hormonal aggression or maternal aggression in either the male or female line making these babies perfect pets for either new or experienced rat owners. Mom has continued to be handled daily and to be housed with her mischief since their birth. The litter has 13 pups total and ALL are dumbos (big eared). There are a huge variety of patterns including variegated hooded, capped, Berkshire, etc. Both Blue (grey colored pups) and Black pups are available. Like their parents, these pups are also being handled daily by multiple people and are exposed to a variety of sights, smells, and noises. We also have several dogs so the babies are used to the sounds and sight of dogs so they should be confident in a pet-friendly home (though I never recommend letting them directly interact with cats or dogs for their safely). My female rats are all litter box trained, so I expect that the babies will all be well started with litter training before they go home. I’m happy to send updated pictures, videos, or talk to you more about their individual temperaments to help you make a great match! Rats do best in pairs, trios or larger groups so they are only available in pairs or more (unless you have other rats and experience introducing new additions). Rehoming fee to ensure they don’t become feeders. Pairs are $40 and Trios are $50. Pick up in Westerville near the Columbus IKEA. Please make sure you have a suitable enclosure no aquarium tanks.
