Description
So I've been playing and singing for many years. Played guitar, bass, steel all types of music from jazz to rock and country. Always tried to play a wide mix thinking people in the audience would find something they would like. Lately been playing solo or duo mainly because most places don’t have room or money for more.
I don’t want to do that any more. I want to concentrate on Americana, folk, folkabilly whatever you want to call it. Mostly Texas songwriters, also do a lot of originals with a larger band and some nice vocal harmony. Maybe get some gigs but mostly just to play and have a good time. Would like to find like minded people. I have a pretty good percussionist. Would like violin or mandolin, second guitar, bass, dobro, flute any cool acoustic instrument. People who can sing lead and or harmony. People who want to play and practice and make it sound good.
Certainly would not pretend to the level of Union Station but you know, kinda like that. Favorite covers, Robert Earl Keen, Townes Van Zandt. Guy Clark, Billy joe Shaver. John Prine, Nancy Griffith, Michael Fuller, Tim Hardin, Paul Simon, Tony Joe White etc.
By the way I live in Galveston but would be willing to drive up the mainland to play. Hope you are interested and will give me a shout.
