This has been deleted twice in just a few minutes. I guess that someone doesn't like it. Or it's one of her supporters (staff) controlling the media.
Thank you, and the rest of your democratic cronies, for getting the prescription legislation thru. You advertised that it would limit my co-pay to $35. Of course, it WAS $20. This month, I was notified that the insulin medication that I WAS taking for years, is no longer covered due to her legislation.
Those of us that are on medications know that there's a long period of trial and error needed to eventually find a drug that works and does not mess up your body. That sometimes takes years of continual adjustments to find the right medication and the right dosage. That's all gone and now I start from scratch.
I can continue to take the same medication... but it will no longer cost me a $20 co-pay, but $2,041. My insurance company gave me a list of other (approved) options to replace the medication. We asked the insurance company (BC/BS Fed) who manufactured those other options. It seems that there are now only four options... three are manufactured by the same company. So, a deal was struck with one company to provide insulin. Hassan's legislation covers insulin based on who makes it rather than how it treats diabetes. My guess is that my co-pay for which drug I will have to adjust to will go from a $20 co-pay to the $35 co-pay that Hassan secured for us. I wonder what sort of kick-back the politicians are getting for all of this?
