Description
Hi there. I live in Westport, CT and I am in the beginning stages of planning a micro-hydrologic generator - basically a small generator / 'power plant' that will use the spillway flow from my pond into a creek to provide electricity. Initially, I am really looking for someone who 1) has done something like this before and/or is a competent engineer - you don't need to be a Phd, but ideally I would like someone who, for instance, has enough skill that he or she could post a youtube video on doing something like this and 2) someone who can come to my place in Westport, CT to do a site assessment.
I am well aware that my situation is not capable of producing a ton of energy; however, I am almost certain that it can produce some - it is this 'some' that I am interested in learning about. In all honestly, the construction is secondary to the site assessment. Ideally, this site assessment would be professionally done, but as long as you know what to look for and can provide even a rough estimate of the power that could be potentially generated, that would be enough.
Initially, I can pay 100 dollars / hr. This rate could go up eventually. However - and this is important - I would like to first have a 10 - 15 minute Zoom chat whereupon I simply show the site and give a better idea of what I want to do - this would be the 'free consultation' part. If we get along and you think you can conduct an accurate site assessment, then you are hired with at the 100 / hr rate.
