On January 18, 2003, Peggy Klinke’s stalker found and killed her, then killed himself. Now, on the eve of the 20th anniversary of Peggy’s death, surviving sister and Ohio-native, Debbie Riddle, will join Walsh University to share her sobering story.
Debbie is one of the nation’s leading speakers on stalking—a crime and blatant affront to human dignity. Over the past 16 years, she has joined forces with the National Center for Victims of Crime and the Stalking Resource Center; Erin Brockovich; Lifetime Television; and nationally-recognized stalking expert, Mark Wynn, to spread awareness of this serious topic. She has spoken at a Congressional briefing in Washington, D.C. to request recognition of January as Stalking Awareness Month and at the 10-year anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) conference alongside Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Senator Joe Biden (D-DE).
This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is requried.
