Join Blue Sun Vintage and The Studio in learning to mend your damaged clothing! In this workshop we will be teaching three hand sewing techniques that can be applied to your current clothing. You will bring 1-5 items that you want to repair and all sewing tools will be provided. NOTE: It is not a guarrentee that every item you bring will be mended by the end of the workshop. BONUS: You will be gifted a mending kit to take home with you. What will be taught: 1. Sew a button (used for loose, replacement, or adding a button) 2. Patch a hole (used for ripped pants, underarm hole) 3. Seam repair (latter/invisable stitch will be taught to close a hole in a seam) Event details: When: Febuary 18th, 2023 Where: Mesh Cowork (2005 Eye street suite 9) Time: 1-4pm (This is not a drop in class, attendance is required the whole time) Price: $30 (tickets are non-refundable but they are transferable) Ages: 16 and up What to bring: 1-5 items that you want to mend. Water bottle and snacks (not required but recommended) What is provided: Instruction on mending techniques, needles, thread, patches, buttons BONUS: mending kit will be provided and you will be able to take it home!
