Backpacking Requirement #8c, #10.Camping Requirement #9a, #9b.Cooking Requirement #5, #6.Hiking Requirement #4National Outdoor Achievement Award WHAT TO BRING: Worksheet/Scout HandbookTent: 1-2 person backpacking tent.Personal gear. COST PER PERSON IS FOR CAMPING FEES + FOOD FOR EACH CAMP. JOURNEY TO EAGLE AND BEYOND SERIES OF CAMPING TRIPS: CAMP #1 - DECEMBER 2022 - STARS & SUMMITSCAMP #2 - FEBRUARY 2023 - MONARCHS AT THE BEACHCAMP #3 - MARCH 2023 - MALIBU M.A.S.H. UPCAMP #4 - APRIL 2023 - SPRING REGATTA NOTES - PLEASE READ: 1) No Refunds unless canceled. 2) Open to Scouts BSA from any troop/council. 3) All Scouts will earn camping nights towards Camping MB Req 9a, National Outdoor Achievement Award, and Order of the Arrow eligibility. 4) Scouts working on Cooking Requirement #5 or #6 must be First Class/Star/Life rank, or have approval from Scoutmaster. Please have your Scoutmaster email [email protected] with his/her approval before you sign up. 5) Please read the Cooking Merit Badge booklet and use the worksheet http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/cooking.pdf to plan your menu by 12/13 so you will be prepared to Zoom with Cooking Merit Badge Counselor on 12/14. You will receive a budget and you will be expected to save your receipts for reimbursement. 6) Follow Up Meeting(s) with Backpacking Merit Badge Counselor, Camping Merit Badge Counselor, Cooking Merit Badge Counselor, and Hiking Merit Badge Counselor will be scheduled. Please check your email regularly. 7) At least one Cooking Merit Badge Counselor will be present at each Journey to Eagle Camp. 8) Every one will tent by themselves. 9) Same gendered siblings within 2-years of age may choose to tent together.
