New edit 12/06/22 Third time's the charm??? Ok, I know this ad must have been seen by loads of people by now. Here's the deal: We have been playing together on and off in numerous bands for 20 years and we have accumulated a handful of decent songs that have taken what seems like an unfortunate turn for the worst judging by the reactions of most drummers. I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH THE FACT THAT WHAT WE RECORDED WITH OUR PREVIOUS DRUMMER IS NOT WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR. Whilst we intend to keep some of our better songs - they are 100% open to interpretation by drummers and the VOCALS are to be IGNORED - that style of vocals are NOT what we want to have in our band. Our previous drummer bankrolled the recording sessions and he changed a lot of stuff in the songs so we were left mostly in the cold when it came to the recording and production process. Our previous drummer was superfluously technical in his style - we don't need or want that. Listen to our stuff with an OPEN MIND and see how YOU would play drums to those songs. We don't have isolated guitar or bass tracks, only the final mixes, but we're gonna be programming a drum machine to rerecord the better songs and if nobody steps up to the plate, we'll just roll deep with the drum machine. Original ad follows: Hey, We're a guitarist and bassist. We've been playing together for 20 years. We're not doing the typical thing We're looking for an OPEN-MINDED drummer for original music - probably open to do some covers, but we intend to be an original band. We don't have a singer at the moment, but once we lock in a solid drummer, we shouldn't have a problem finding one. We've been around the scene for a while and played some pretty big shows before our previous band broke up, so we're not amateurs, but don't expect "Rockstah" egos from us. We just want to put a legit band together, make some good'n'heavy music, play some decent shows and maybe record a CD at some point - Although, if we never went into the studio again, that would be fine too. We were always a great live band. We're into Industrial, Nu Metal, Grunge, and some other stuff as well. So, basically: Tool, RAMMSTEIN, Eisbrecher, Static-X, Slipknot, older Fear Factory, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, 80s/90s Metallica, Hatebreed, older MuDvAyNe, Pink Floyd, GnR, etc. We have a space and PRO GEAR. We have a house drumkit. You don't need to pay into the rent as long as you use our kit and don't require keys to the room. We play LOUD. Dynamics are also important. Note: Although we intend to keep some of these songs - the drums are open to interpretation and the tempos will be malleable. Vocals will be redone pending the addition of a new singer.
