Was my mom's dementia caused by blood pressure and cholesterol drugs?

Description

My mother is in her mid 80's and has suffered from dementia for several years... Not much short-term memory left and long-term not so great either. Many scans and tests have been performed, but no diagnosis has been made. Her primary doctor has had her on several blood pressure and cholesterol drugs for the last ten to twenty years (My mother is 5' and has always been about 110 pounds and exercised daily... Not some lazy fat ass!). When I read the warning labels and research on those drugs, it clearly says that memory issues can be caused by their use. When I have questioned her doctors (Primary, Neurologist, Gastro., etc...) about the side effects, they say that it's highly unlikely that those drugs have caused her memory issues. My grandmother on same side also had dementia and was also on the same type of drugs for many years. My mom's sister is 86 with a perfect memory and still drives... She believes the drugs absolutely caused my grandmother's dementia and probably my mothers. My aunt refuses to take any long-term medication. My grandmother's sister is in her mid 90's on no meds and also has a great memory. Please reply to this post if you, your parent or someone you know in Monmouth County is in a similar situation... I am strongly considering a lawsuit against her primary doctor and maybe a few drug companies.
