Fortner Custom Furniture & Upholstery is conducting in-person interviews to the Raleigh, NC area on Saturday, December 10th. Can't join us for an in-person interview near Raleigh? We are conducting virtual interviews for anyone who lives outside of the area or can't make it due to scheduling conflicts. Every piece that we build is a team effort consisting of designers, carpenters, sewers, upholsterers, and installers. Every team member, an artist, life-long student, and family member. Fortner is looking for talented folks to join our team in these positions; Carpenters & Wood Finishers - The ideal candidate may have previously worked as - Carpenter - Carpentry - Woodworking - Finish Carpenter - Woodworker - Cabinet Maker - Cabinets - Cabinetry - Furniture maker - Cabinetmaker - Wood Finisher - Woodworking - Wood Finishing Upholsterers - To ensure success as an upholsterer, you should have in-depth knowledge of modern upholstery techniques, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize design ideas. A top-class Upholsterer perfectly translates the ideas of the client into high-quality furnishings. Sewers - Sewing machine operators operate and tend sewing machines which include joining, reinforcing, and decorating covers or parts of covers. Installers - Participates in the construction, installation, refinishing, and repairs of upholstered furniture, cabinets, desks, tables, shelves, and the other articles of furniture. **Please Note.
