Hello, Looking to hear from rock or jazz drummers, rock or jazz bass players, or newly formed original rock bands. I grew up in a musical family, worked in the entertainment business all over the place, and have a degree from music school. Most of the situations I've worked in paid decent money but my heart wasn't in it (cover bands, wedding bands, etc). I'm financially stable, have rehearsal space, gear, and band management skills. I'm looking for people with the talent and work ethic on my wavelength that I know I/we can build into a great regional band that kicks ass. I have met and interacted with hundreds of musicians in my life and there are certain patterns of behavior that I have learned to recognize. Not looking to rant here but the solid building blocks of a new musical relationship start with a sincere email reply on your end. The kind of music I want to play is best described as modern rock, even though that's a big umbrella. Not so concerned with labels more concerned with creativity. Songs longer than 4 minutes, some improvised sections, some unconventional instruments like mellotron, tambura, sitar.
