A free tasting event in historic downtown Waynesboro, VA. Alex of Thistle & Stag Meadery started making mead as a hobby and it was so well received that he was convinced to make it for sale. He started selling commercially in 2012. They currently make mead in a shop in the house but are in the process of building a tasting house and workshop nearby in Fork Union.
