Description
A local non-profit rescue needs a foster home for Lizzie so she can have her heartworm treatment. The rescue will pay for the treatment and provide dog food, a dog crate, collar, leash and any other items she may need in foster care. She is a beautiful young lady (Retriever/hound) approximately a year and a half old, and 46 pounds. She is such a gentle soul and would make such a wonderful addition to anyone's life! She absolutely loves running around outside and has already learned the art of playing fetch.
She knows many other basic commands like sit and shake paw and is very treat motivated. She loves all people and is amazing with children. She is incredibly gentle and sweet. She is quickly learning house manners and is completely potty trained. Someone please scoop up this beautiful girl so she can live her best life!!
Lizzie was rescued from Duplin County, NC, and quickly won the hearts of the shelter staff, but because their space is so limited, she was on the euthanasia list on the day she was pulled. She went to a foster in Wilmington, NC, who was also impressed by Lizzie's sweet personality and wonderful house manners. She is housebroken and does well in a crate, and has exhibited no destructive tendencies. She tested well with other dogs at the shelter and enjoys the company of humans and other dogs alike. Elizabeth will make a great family addition! She is fully vaccinated and will be spayed asap.
Please respond to this message if you are interested in fostering Lizzie. No cats please.
