Please join us as Gail Sanders, U of I Extension Master Gardener, presents her ideas for creating an edible landscape. She'll discuss combining fruit and nut trees, vegetables, herbs, edible flowers and even berry bushes in aesthetically pleasing ways into your home garden. We'll see that edible landscapes can be just as attractive as ornamental ones. We'll learn how to eat from our yards by creating a tasteful home landscape using edible plants. The presentation will be followed by our March General Meeting. The presentation and meeting will be in a hybrid format. The zoom link will be shared via Eventbrite emails closer to the date. More about DGC here More about our presenter, Master Gardener Gail Sanders: Has lived in DuPage County most of her life Has been gardening since childhood – Dad was in charge of the vegetables and mom of the flowers; my brothers and I got to do the weeding and harvesting Former middle school math and science teacher Master Gardener since 2013 Has worked at many of the DuPage County Master Gardener projects Was one of the team leaders at Kline Creek Farm for 3 years Most volunteer hours are in the northwest part of the county Part of the “Worms in the Classroom” team Garden tour guide at both Cantigny Park and Ball Horticulture Part of the Speakers Bureau Special gardening interests are using organic methods to garden and growing vegetables Member of the DuPage Organic Garden Club and the Bloomingdale Garden Club During colder months enjoys crafting especially sewing, crocheting, and card making Create using edibles!
