SDM's 2023 Ski Trip will be on Saturday, Jan 14, 2023! After an intense IAP week, we will spend ONE DAY (or two) on the slope with fellow SDMers! We encourage ALL students (families and SO's are welcome!) to join in on the fun. LOCATION: Gunstock Mountain Ski Area. https://www.gunstock.com/ DATE: Saturday, January 14, 2023. START TIME (Planned) : 7AM EST for shuttle departure from campus. Ride to mountain is about 2 hours. Start skiing at around 9 - 9:30 AM. Most likely we will return to campus at around 7-8 PM. SKI: Enjoy the slopes! The SLC will cover 70%-80% of ski and rental costs and 100% of transportation costs (if you plan to take the shuttle). There is also a snow tubing option. TRANSPORTATION: The SLC plans to arrange an MIT shuttle to Gunstock mountain on Jan 14. Most likely the pickup and drop-off location is building E40. TICKET INFORMATION: Please choose ticket options carefully! Only choose bus tickets if you plan to take the shuttle bus, and not more than the number of passengers! Ticket sales will be final by Dec 25, 2022. Refund will only be issued if Gunstock mountain is closed on the event date (i.e. due to weather conditions). # Work-In-Progress # SECOND DAY SKI: For those who want to ski longer, the SLC is working on providing the same ski/rental/tubing options for a second day, on Jan 15 2023. However, participants might need to arrange their own overnight lodging and return transportations. We are waiting for a final response from Gunstock, and will share more details soon. For now you may select the corresponding free ticket options to indicate interest. Depending on the number of people skiing on a second day, we may arrange an additional pick-up bus on Jan 15.
