Description

A chef's knife can be used to do almost all of the cutting, slicing and dicing in the kitchen. Learning to use a chef's knife can eliminate the need for other kitchen gadgets and tools freeing up space and making your kitchen much more efficient. In this one hour hands on class participants will learn how to properly hold a chef's knife as well as the proper cutting motion. Participants will learn to do a variety of cuts and have an opportunity to practice. This Knife Skills Class is a collaboration between Haywood Cooperative Extension and The Haywood County Public Library. It will take place at the Haywood County Extension Office. Participants will be working with food and should wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
