Like CPR training helps a non-medical professional assist an individual following a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid training helps people to aid someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Participants in learn the risk factors and warning signs of specific illnesses such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addiction; engage in activities that build an understanding of the impact of illness; and learn information about treatment and support.
This course is intended for employees of Helena College and the general community. You must be 18 years old or older to participate.
To join us for this free in-person training, which will be offered in two parts (12 -5 p.m. each day), please register through this system and then join us at 12 p.m. at the Helena College Lecture Hall near the entrance to the Donaldson Campus at 1115 North Roberts. You must attend both days to participate and receive certification as a Mental Health First Aider.
