Reading the news can be really depressing. Sometimes there seems to be so much wrong in the world, the idea of changing it for the better feels impossible. Amnesty International’s Write for Rights shows; writing a letter, signing a petition. Surely you can’t change the world with something so simple? Yes, you can! And there's complimentary snacks. What is it? It's the world's largest writing event. Why is it? There are people around the world being held without due process, or persecuted, because of what they believe or who they love. What do you want from me? Stop by for a few minutes, learn about this year's cases, sign some pre-printed letters (or right your own), enjoy a complimentary beverage and/or snack. What's the Goal? Inundate Government Offices with THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of letters in support of victims of human rights abuses, so the CANNOT BE IGNORED. When is it? Dec 8th 5:30pm 8:00pm Where is it?
