Guitarist looking to form old school Mizrahi band

Good afternoon, My name is Ed Zylka: I’m a guitarist, arranger and composer living in Southern California, and I’m trying to get a Mizrahi music band together for performances in Southern Florida. I myself have a deep love for the genre, and I also have a few contacts (and family) in the area that could lead to some well compensated performance opportunities (parties and so on). I would mainly want to do Mizrahi songs from the 70’s and 80’s (Daklon, Zion Golan, Haim Moshe) to the early 2000’s (Ethnix, Eyal Golan, Oren Chen, so on). As it stands I can provide guitar and some vocals (as well as charts), so I think having Keys, Drums, Bass and a dedicated vocalist would round out the sound perfectly. I’m a professional musician, and I’ll take your time and effort seriously, both in financial compensation and my conduct as a bandmate. It’s always been a dream of mine to play this music with other people who care about it, and I think it could lead to a lot of good things with a bit of luck. I’m also aware that the logistical situation is weird with me being all the way on the west coast, but I write good charts and am an excellent communicator, so I would be able to use time in FL very effectively once the band comes together. Local recommendations for rehearsal spaces are also much appreciated. Right now I’m not trying to promise anything concrete, but if you’re interested, let me know and we can get the ball rolling.
