Custom Marble, a rapidly growing, Family-owned wholesale manufacturing company, is seeking career-minded, proficient manufacturing Production Worker/Journeyman Trainer who is driven, passionate, and highly motivated, to work in and around the St. Louis Metro East area. As a Production worker or Journeyman Trainer, you would be responsible for primary duties include safely performing a wide range of tasks that include stacking manufactured and/or fabricated products, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Additionally, you would be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of systems, equipment, finished goods, as well as troubleshooting in a variety of work areas while paying close attention to all aspects of safety. Exceptional technical & problem-solving skills are important for journeymen to identify manufacturing quality issues and proceed with prompt repairs. Being able to work in a team setting and to complete objectives within a given timeframe is a must. Training is available for the right individual. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Must have the ability to construct and fabricate and/or diagnose and repair manufacturing quality problems rapidly and accurately. Must stay up to date with changes in the equipment usage. • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift and handle physical demands • Good communication skills and able to take instruction • Must be at work on time and every scheduled day • Be able to stand and work for 8 hours a day • Availability for needed overtime sessions • Must wear appropriate PPE at all times and follow safety procedures • Must be 18 years or older • Must pass HPE [Human Performance Evaluation] and drug/alcohol test • Keep on or ahead of the manufacturing schedule & timely project completion • Assuring that company equipment and materials are used properly • Other functions as directed by management. Experience Desired: • This position requires a minimum of two – (2) years’ experience through on the job training or successful completion of an apprentice program. • Required – “Journeyman Production Worker” has a current, and valid State of residence Driver’s License. • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written • Must be able to perform all aspects of the assigned duties and tasks.
