POSITION BE FILLED ON 12/16/2022 Kennel Team Leads monitor the daily operations of the facility under their supervision, during their shift. They ensure that all pets are being properly cared for and safe. They feed dogs, according to owners’ instructions, administer medications, and learn our visitor’s names. They are also responsible for a fair amount of facility cleaning and sanitizing. Team Leads also supervise the playcare staff and maintain pleasant and professional contact with owners as they drop off or pick up their pets. Bathing, brushing, drying dogs and trimming nails will often be required. Front desk responsibilities include processing credit card payments and learning kennel software system. This position has the possibility for advancement, based on performance, attendance, attitude, and at the discretion of the owner. Ideal candidate has prior employment history focused on dog handling, customer service, and leadership. Must be interested in making a long-term commitment to this business. · Follow instructions Must be able to learn and follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and policies. · Monitor the welfare of animals Must be alert to animals’ physical condition and behavior and note and report any concerns or unexpected changes, including signs of ill-health, appearance, condition of the animals' accommodation, intake of food and water and environmental conditions. · Communicate with customers Respond to and communicate with customers as they drop-off or pick-up their dogs. · Be Dependable Exercise reliability, promptness, and set a good example for others. MUST SHOW UP and be ready to work ON TIME and have your own reliable transportation. · Manage scheduled tasks Prioritize daily tasks in order to complete them in the most efficient and thorough manner. · Monitor staff Supervise other staff members on your team, making sure everyone is following rules and policies. Give instruction when needed to motivate and direct them to meet the company objective of the highest level of care and safety. Identify areas for improvement and make suggestions to upper management to achieve this. Help staff stay on task and maintain a fun and effective working relationship among staff. · Maintain excellent customer service Offer the highest possible level of customer service. Help customers feel at ease with our services. Give tours of the facility as requested. Learn to speak tactfully when discussing with owners any issues with their pets. · Physical demand and work environment Required to stand Required to walk Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl Required to talk and hear While performing the duties of this job, the noise level environment is usually loud Required to remove, dispose of, and mop up dog waste Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25+ pounds Required to work with cleaning and disinfecting chemicals
