Position Overview: The Mobile Repair Technician position is an entry level hourly position where the employee will be expected to assist in all areas as needed performing a wide range of tasks to aid the overall TEAM. Essential Job Functions: Follow direction and accomplish tasks within time standards with minimal supervision. Use a variety of tools including but not limited to pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks and cutting torches safely and proficiently. Assist more senior team members with completing their tasks, varying by the tasks at hand. Deliver material and equipment to more senior team members as required. Learn, comprehend and apply all new hire, safety and on the job training for all departments. Learn, comprehend and apply AAR, FRA, Customer and FRS requirements. Daily assistance with housekeeping both inside, outside and the mobile repair truck(s). Requirements Education Requirements A High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred. Basic reading, writing and math skills are required. The ability to communicate clearly is required. Previous experience in a production or physical labor environment preferred. Other Skills/Abilities The ability to be self-motivated and meet expectations with minimal supervision. The ability to work within a TEAM environment, establishing good working relationships at all levels. The ability to comprehend and apply AAR, FRA, Customer and FRS requirements. The ability to meet all job performance requirements including (but not limited to) teamwork, quality, housekeeping, safety, attendance and SOP’s. The ability to organize time and priorities in such a manner as to provide the most efficient and effective job performance for their TEAM. The ability to assist on a Mobile Repair call-out during regular time, overtime and weekends as required. Physical Requirements The ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely. The ability to work in adverse weather conditions. The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials. The ability to work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 4 ft. off the ground with proper PPE. The ability to sustain mental and visual attention to details for sustained periods of time. Work Site Environment Must comply with all safety requirements at all times and lead by example regarding safety. Primary work environment subject to extreme heat or cold for considerable amounts of time. Must dress accordingly. Hearing protection shall be required in certain designated areas to noise levels greater than 80 decibels. Scaffolds, floors, ladders and walking surfaces may be uneven.
