Hyde-Stone Mechanical Contractors, INC is seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about achieving team driven goals and would like to get their foot in the door in the HVAC Mechanical Contracting Industry. This position is integral in supporting the Company’s project and construction needs while adhering to the company plans, policies, and procedures to fulfill the company’s contractual obligations to its partners and customers. The incumbent will assist the Warehouse Manager in receiving, labeling, storing, and shipping construction material to job sites. This position is also a great stepping stone for those who desire a career in the pipefitting, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, or general construction field crafts. Requirements: • High School diploma or GED. • Preferred CDL but not required. Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age. • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. • Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment; high energy, self-motivated, self-directed, and able to focus on multiple tasks and activities simultaneously. • Ability to: o Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Construction Foreman regularly o Work independently and as a member of a team. • Ability to learn and assist in managing the distribution of construction tools. • Commitment to good ethical business practices; portray professionalism in business atmosphere. • Ability to assist the Warehouse manager in gathering pricing information on materials. • Must Possess the ability to assist in process improvement. • Computer literacy (intermediate level-Microsoft Work, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, email). • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities: • Receive, unload, mark and distribute Construction Materials using Hyde-Stone’s system. • Assist in managing materials stored in the warehouse. • Assist in accountability of construction tools and track distribution. • Drive to job sites and distribute material. • Provide and monitor the maintenance of three company vehicles. • Pick up construction materials that cannot be shipped from various vendors. • Continue to build collaborative relationships with Hyde-Stone’s customers and partners. • Assist the Service Department in receiving parts via UPS, FEDEX, USPS and storing them. • Maintain the Warehouse and Vehicles in cleanliness and safety.
