Job Purpose Superior Fence & Rail is an industry leader with multiple branch locations across the country. We partner with a national home improvement chain, multiple home builders and general contractors for fence installation requirements. Primary Responsibilities 1-Organize ware house operations and procedures and ensure these procedures are being followed by staff. Receive and organize shipments. 2-Develop expertise in product knowledge, technical knowledge, industry and process knowledge in relevant product areas 3-Inspect trucks/trailer each morning to ensure that it is loaded safely and correctly per the job order. 4-Use appropriate equipment in a safe and secure manner 5-Attend all required safety and training sessions as scheduled 6-Fork lift certification is required. If already not certified should get fork lift certification within 2 weeks. 7-Unload and clean truck/trailer safely and correctly at the end of each day 8-Interacts with clients and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner. 9-Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience Previous experience is desirable but not required - most skills can be taught on the job. Must be able to read plans, follow verbal instructions and obey applicable safety regulations. Must have a valid drivers license. Must be able to pass a background check (No felonies or sex offenses) and pass a drug screening. Ability to learn SFR policies and procedures. Candidate must have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills. Candidate must be punctual and dependable. Candidate must be able to bend /squat/reach above shoulders/kneel/stoop/climb stairs/steps/climb ladders/step stool and walk on uneven ground. Candidate must be able to being around moving machinery, operating basic and specialized machinery, exposure to outdoor elements/hot temperatures, exposure to changes in temperature/humidity, driving automotive equip. and exposure to dust, fumes & gases. Candidate must be able to lift/ carry 0-100 pounds of weight. Compensation Compensation for warehouse help will be hourly rate of $15.00 (payable weekly). Work hours are from Monday through Fridays.
