Please join Living in Freedom Together (LIFT) and the Worcester Department of Health & Human Services on Human Trafficking Awareness Day to discuss how we as a Worcester community can come together to #EndExploitation. Since its founding, LIFT has supported and worked alongside more than 700 survivors, ages 12-70+. Nearly 90% of those survivors were sexually assaulted as children and have a history of substance use disorder. More than 75% have also experienced homelessness. Women, girls, BIPOC and LGBTQIA++ folx are disproportionately targeted and impacted by systems of prostitution resulting in higher arrest rates for prostitution related offenses than any other gender or racial group. Learn what you can do in your role in our community to support survivors, interrupt these cycles and entry ramps, and increase access to resources and exit ramps.
